Welcome. Drones.Scot ltd is a family based company. Peter and Claire decided to start an aerial imagery company after using drones for several years as a hobby. In July 2017 Peter passed his theory and practical flight assessment which allows him to fly drones for commercial purposes. He obtained his license from the the Civil Aviation Authority and is fully insured to fly drones for commercial purposes. Before he become a drone pilot, Peter worked for the Scottish Wildlife Trust as a visitor centre manager at the Loch of the Lowes, near Dunkeld. During his time there his passion for filming and photography was born. Using the latest HD technology he shot footage of many different species of wildlife, landscapes and people in order to promote the visitor centre. This footage then went on to be used by News and media companies such as the BBC Scotland program Lanward.
“Flying drones with a camera is about as close as I will get to seeing like a bird”. Statement by Peter.
Claire helps out with Drones.Scot and is currently studying HNC in Engineering Systems so she can work with the drones on an electrical level. She previously worked for orginisations such as the RSPB, Scottish Wildlife Trust, Woodland Trust and the Forrestry Commission doing conservation work, site surveys, native woodland surveys and rangering.
